I picked up the developed film from Nelson Photo in San Diego (Little Italy), before catching a plane to Minneapolis last Wednesday. Tortuously, the film waited in my trunk for my return, as if it were teasing me and calling my name to scan it.

The end was near. After a late return last night, in mind I set aside time this evening to explore what I had captured. After work, I rushed home to place the negatives in my Epson V500. The purr of the scanner, the moment before the final image appeared in the scan folder, and a short visit to Photoshop – there it was.

The dress was custom made by the talented Livandrea Knoki.
